Finding new bands

The infinite struggle for angsty teenagers (or any teenagers at all) is to find really good music. In this day in age, we are CONSTANTLY in use of mp3s and ipods so listening to the same old songs we've known for years no longer does it for us. We try to find the new and exciting bands, who are just on the brink of fame, and then when they DO get famous, it's kind of bittersweet. Yes, you get to hear their songs on the radio over and over (and over and over and over......ugh) but then suddenly everyone else is talking about the new hot band that YOU found. It makes me kind of protective of them, like "I found them first, I loved them first". Which is weird, because it's not like these people even know you exist. But like all things that suddenly blow up, they deflate and are considered old news. Unless you're Madonna apparently. Cause that shit never gets old. It's kind of disappointing in a way, that when you listen to a song over and over, you can get tired of it. It's just the over exposure. Either way. I just found a really cool new band. Let's see how long they last...

And with minimal power comes overpowering authority

I thought maybe i'd talk about a subject that irks me to no end. The CAT buses. Not only am i a college student without a car, but one without a fully blown license. Sad. I know. Which makes me rely on the CAT buses to get me to and from school, which I have found to be completely unreliable. They are either ten minutes late or ten minutes early, and if i'm rushing out to get on, IT'S MY FAULT. The bus drivers can either be friendly, or very rude. Actually, all the women are rude. They have refused to pick me up before because i was ten feet away from the bus stop while it was stopping. Apparently i'm an inconvenience to their routing process. Another thing that peeves me is the fact that i have to leave my house before seven to get to school at eight. And for some reason, all the other bus passengers feel like chatting with me then, when i'm tired and cranky. No offence to those people, but's i'd rather sit in silence or listen to music than converse with you about your foot fungi.
